Physical Characteristics
  • Small, strong, box-shaped build
  • Strong, rectangular muzzle with pronounced beard and black nose
  • Hard, bristly topcoat comes in black/silver, salt/pepper and solid black; soft undercoat
  • Tail is usually docked
  • Height: 12-14 inches
  • Weight: 13-15 pounds

  • Myotonia Congenita (muscular disorder)
  • Neuronal Ceroid-Lipofuscinosis (neurological disorder)
  • Ophthalmic disorders (including progressive retinal atrophy, retinal dysplasia and cataracts)
  • Urolithiasis (bladder stones)
