Physical Characteristics
- Come in all coat colors and patterns
- Medium-length coat
- Large cats: Females average between 10 and 15 pounds, males between 15 and 20 pounds
- Heavily boned, with a tendency toward a fatty pad on the lower abdomen
Temperament
- Sweet, calm, patient
- Good lap cat; needs lots of love and human companionship
- Good with children and other pets
Medical Conditions
- Healthy breed
- Needs boosters by 12 weeks old
- Annual vet visit for checkups is important

At Home
- Does best indoors
- Needs sufficient scratching device
- Declawing is not recommended
- Kittens are available after 12-16 weeks
- Low maintenance

- Although the coat is thick and plush, it does not readily mat or clump
- Trim nails regularly
