  • An invisible pet containment system will not work without the collar.
  • Postal employees and neighbors cannot see the fence. They will understandably be startled if a dog lunges toward them.
  • Some dogs never register the shock elicited by the signal or they lose sensitivity to it over time. Watch your dog's behavior closely.
  • Most underground systems come with training instructions; read them carefully.
  • Like physical fences, invisible fences require ongoing maintenance.
  • Remember that other dogs and animals (cats, squirrels, etc.) CAN enter your yard, even though your dog might not be able to get out.
